Stay in touch while overseas

Excited?  You likely arrived here because you are planning a trip to the UK – hopefully on vacation, but even if on business it can be something to look forward to – right!?

Back home you have your cell phone with you at all times – you can get in touch with family whenever you want to, and of course they can get in touch with you.  Had an accident?  No problem, you have your cell phone to call 911.

But have you ever felt, while in a foreign country, that you are cut off from everything and everyone?  Either your cell phone doesn’t work over there, or you are (rightly) concerned about the ridiculously high charges if you do decide to use it.

So what’s the answer?  Well, you could rent a cell phone.  There are lots of companies out there who will quite happily provide you with a phone for a week or two, in return for a fee.  And a deposit.  And high call charges.
